Last Post

That's it! 365 days of being thankful. Even though I didn't get to blog on the day every single day. I was always thinking about being thankful and that was half of what this was even for. Thank you to those who followed me! And for those who could careless, thank you for at least looking :) Maybe one day I'll be a professional blogger....but prolly not. It's been nice knowing you for a year! Maybe see you again soon. Bon voyage! :)

Day 365

Last but not least the thing that helped me most keep a blog was a checklist. I would go through and write down how many weeks were in a season(I did mine by seaons :)) and then I would write down different interesting topics from that season. Then I would write out weekly what I would blog about. It made my life easier. I tried to just come up with something everyday but after a while you forget what you've said and start re using things and stuff like that. So my lists made it soooo much easier! I am so thankful for them!! :)

Day 364

Today I will remind you to make blogging fun and interesting. If it's not a topic that you find interesting then, trust me, you won't enjoy it. And if it's not fun for you, you won't do it. I had times where I didn't make it fun, it was more like a chore and I didn't do it sometimes. So it is worth it to make it interesting and fun! And I'm thankful that I did and found some topics that were for me :)

Something else that made me able to do it everyday(almost ;)) Was that I made it quick. Some days it doesn't really matter but then there are others where I only have a few minutes and throwing something together was very easy. It saved me a lot of times! :)

The last days of the blog. These are sad, yet happy! :) This next four days I am going to write about how I kept from totally blowing off this blogging and why I am thankful for them. I had to keep in mind to not stress. It was easy to at times and when I did I had to remember not to. I am thankful for that becuase it would have been a killer to be stressing all of the time over something that, well lets face it, it's important at all. It's just something I'd like to check off my list :) So not letting it get to me made the experience alot more enjoyable :)

Day 361

Go wear your mans clothes! :) One thing that I have done since day one is wear his clothes. They smell like him and make me feel closer to him when he's so far away :( I don't know what I would do without his clothes. They are really comfy too! Guys clothes are so much nicer than girls!! haha :) I am thankful for his clothes :)

Day 360

So, today is talk about him. This one is tricky, yet very needed! At first that is ALL you will talk about. Every single converstaion will go back to him in one way or another. Now, this is normal, but make sure you are either 1) talking to people who REALLY love you or 2) talking to a whole bunch of different people. I had/have like 10 different people that I just will chat with and I can bring up the same point 10 different times. That's so nice! And even though it's been a little while now I still do that sometimes. You just have to find a time and place for it, even though it comes no naturally. Talk about him. If people get annoyed with you, they weren't true friends to begin with because they will understand that you are hurting. Just try not to totally drive them nuts, after all, they are still your buds and deserve some of your mind :) I am so thankful to be able to talk about him!!

Today is writting! I am so thankful for mail and I never have been before in my life lol It's amazing how much your life revolves around the mail once you have someone in bootcamp. Writting him is another way to let it all get out and to him much quicker so that he knows what's going on. Of course compared to a phone call or text it seems to take years, but at least it does(usually) get to him! :) I couldn't live without being able to write and send him letters :)

Day 358

Today I am thankful for being able to make him videos. When I feel like I have no one to talk to or so upset I can make a video for him to watch later. I made one the other day when I was really upset. I was able to tell him exactly how I felt and cry and laugh and know that one day he will be able to watch it and share those feelings with me. It's a great release and he'll want to know exactly how you were feeling :)

Since right now I am going through a time where my man has joined the military and I have to try and stay sane without him I am going to make a list of five things that get me through each and every day. And really these are all so equally important that there is no real order. What I am most thankful for today is making him things. Later today I am going to the store to buy a deck of cards because I saw the cutest idea to write 52 things that you love about him on each card. This will help me remember him and appreciate him even more and when he gets back he will LOVE to see that! Last but certainly not least, my favorite thing about a wedding gown is the lace/open back. Back in the day this would have probably been looked down upon if you wore a dress like this. I am so thankful that's not the case now!! :) This is so extreamly ellegant and absolutely beautiful! I am so so so thankful for this detail on a wedding dress!

Today I am in love with lace sleeves :) Well, everyday actually lol Lace sleeves are details that aren't way out there, but when you do them right they are so unique and gorgeous! :) Lace sleeves add a little special something to the dress :) I am thankful for them!

Another detail of dresses that I love is buttons down the back. I am not a fan of this dress, but the buttons are so pretty! :) I think they add a really elegant touch to gown :)

Today the thankful detail is a high neck. This is something that you don't see very often but I think it can be extreamly beautiful and sexy! It keeps you covered, yet if it's lace you can still see everything. These are so few that they also are extreamly unique when you wear them, and every bride wants to look unique on her wedding day! I am so thankful for high necked dresses! :)

This next five days I would like to explore the things that every bride should be thankful for on a wedding dress or any girl thankful for on any fancy dress :) Today is detailing. Detailing is such a wonderful thing, it can take a bland dress to being a couture dress with just added some detail to it :)

Day 351

The way I am most thankful for recycling, reusing grocery bags. I use plastic grocery bags, but instead of tossing them when I get home I reuse them. I use them to clean up dog poo, clean out my car, in my little trash can in my room, and all sorts of ways! There are a lot of ways you can use them that is efficient. I am so thankful for grocery bags, I'm not sure what I'd do without them honestly :)

Day 350

Today is use more pencils! :) Now I know that these were what people used to use all of the time, so I am more or less just thankful that we still have them. The plastic from the pens and mechanical pencils is never really mentioned but I bet it is a very large portion. So why not use old fashion pencils?! That is what I am doing this whole semester and so far it is working out just fine! I just had to get into the habit of remembering to sharpen them, but that wasn't too difficult. Ditch your mechanical pencils and plastic pens! :)

Something that I am in the process of getting is reusable water bottles. I am reusing my water bottles as of right now, but they don't hold up very well lol So, I am in the process of getting sturdy water bottles to use instead :) Ones like in the picture, I absolutely LOVE those!! I am so thankful that they make these :)

Today I am thankful for the fact that I live with a family that uses things to their death lol Some people get rid of their things once they start wearing or once they're out of style but I always learned to use things to their full potential. For instance, I boght something that had one triple A battery in it about 6 years ago and it still has the same battery. Yes, sometimes I have to hit it to get it to work, but once I do that it works perfectly fine and I have saved tons of money by using the same one :) I do that with everything, once you think that something has reached it's limit, it usually has 9 more years on it! :)

This week is ways to go green! I think we should all do a little something to help this lovely earth :) I am not an enviornmentalist at all. But I do know that I waste so much so I am trying to do better! So these are the ways that I am most thankful for in my life that I can use easily :) Today is electronics. I use a lot of paper on a daily basis, I am very old school. Honestly if I could live without a computer and phone and efficiently talk to people I would. I hate technology lol But I don't have a choice so I try and embrace it :) But I think that going more electronic with things helps with the paper and the time that you could use else where and much more! :)

My most thankful way to save! Something that I am thankful for that we now have a choice is whether to have flowers or not. Some people don't think it's a wedding without flowers (personally it's not a funeral without flowers) and some could care less. I am anti flowers lol I love getting flowers from people I love and such but I kill them so quickly, you can ask my Fiancé. I feel it is pointless to have them at your wedding when they're dead that night. So, I am saving a TON of money by not having one flower at the wedding. I will substitute them out for other less conventional things!

Something else that I and my fiancé are doing is not having cake. It's a tradition that is not important to me and I think that it is a money waster. Now some people think that it's important so that might not be the way to save for you, but I am so thankful that there is at least the option now. They used to sometimes only have the cake as food. Not our style :)

Today I am thankful for deejays! Instead of paying a bunch of money we are going to have a dj do our wedding. They are incredibly cheaper than a live band and they can play whatever music you like instead of of just stickin to what they can do. I think that this is a great idea and it totally helps you save on your wedding bill! :)

The way I am thankful to save on my wedding for today is simple wedding bands. I feel like we live in such a I need more type of society and I think that 9 times outta 10 a simple wedding band mkaes your engagment ring look even more beautiful! I love the simple look to these beautiful rings! :)

This next five days is all about saving money for your wedding. There are quite a few things I am doing to save money for my wedding and I figured I would share these awesome things with you! :) Today is simply diy. I am so thankful for diy projects! Doing things like making your own invitations or even centerpieces were not as easily accessible as they are today. So I am going big on diy to cut my bill considerably! I am thankful for diy! :)

Day 341

The dog I am most thankful for is a Schipperke! Most people have not heard of this amazing dog, sadly. Whenever we would take him out no one knew what kind of dog he was. He is the most amazing dog I have ever met! He was a guard dog, he would kill anyone who tried to come and hurt us. Even our friends if he thought they were hurting us. He charged my friends more than once. He had a wonderful sence of who was a good or bad person. If a person came to the house who was a good person, he would love them, if not he'd try and take a body part haha! Yet when we took him on walks he was the friendliest dog. He would love getting petted and be extreamly friendly. He also hated beiing in the house, he was deffinetly an outside dog. Unless there was a thunder storm. Nothing scared him except that, he'd always try and run into the house then :) He was very loving to us. If someone was a part of the family he would have guarded and protected them with his life. He loved all of us. He was extreamly smart too, but very hard headed. He knew a number of tricks, but if he wasn't in the mood there was no way he'd do it haha! I cannot wait to get another of this breed. He was a truely amazing and wonderful dog! :)

Today the dog I am most thankful for is a Husky! Now I am going to be completely honest, I have no clue about Huskys. This is why I am thankful for them. I think that they are the most beautiful breed of dog that I have ever seen. I could watch one all day honestly. They move beautifully and their coat is absolutely gorgeous! I am thankful for this breed because of how lovely it looks! :)

Today is a Golden Retriever. To me the this and the Lab are two in the same. They are great dogs for hunting, and loyalty, and will gaurd you no matter what. The Golden Retiever is slightly more difficult to teach and they have differeneces in grooming. These really are tied in my books, especially since they are so much alike. But they are beautiful dogs and great pets! :)

Today is a lab! They are sooo cute! And great dogs. My Mom had one when she was younger and she would swear by these dogs. They are the more outdoor, rugged, needing space to run and play kind of dog. They will be your best friend, your hunting buddy, your playmate, and your guard. They are the all around dog! I am very thankful for these dogs and cannot wait to have one!

Todays breed is an American Eskimo. I have had one of these. She was an absolutly beautiful dog! No doubt about it :) She was very loyal, and extreamly loving, and stayed if you let her lose and even was a fairly good hunter. She also ate anything in sight, peed when she got too excited, was not a watch dog in the least and was a dumb as a box of rocks lol She was the most gental dog, so sweet and kind to everyone. If you want a companion this is the perfect dog!

As of yesterday, the start of a new blog topic is at hand. This week I am going to list the dogs I am most thankful for, as far as breeds go. Yesterday was a Chihuahua. I have a mix and I love her. She is yappy and not very good with kids, but she is so spunky and loving. She makes me feel loved when I don't at all. And happy on my worst of days. The chihuahua breed may get a bad rep, but I think they're awesome!

Today the gift I am most thankful for is a candle. I think that you can never go wrong with this gift and that is why it is my top one. Whether you go for the tart, open flame, pretend, just scented or whatever. There are so many options! And then when it comes to scents. There is an unlimited supply! Candles are wonderful! And a fantastic gift for anyone :)

Today I am thankful for the gift of a throw. I love blankets and think that you can never have too many. So a throw is a lovely gift to get. You can find all sorts of different colors and patterens and fabrics. The selection is really versitile! I am thankful for these throws!

Today the present that I am most thankful for is coffee/tea. These are wonderful and yummy gifts to get :) I am a fan of tea and my fiancé is a fan of coffee and tea also! So if you get both they will have to like one and possibly even both! These are awesome gifts! I am thankful for them!

Today I am thankful for gift baskets! They are great for any age. You can make it kid or adult friendly. A gift basket is a great way to explore your options when you don't know the person as well. You can put so many different things in it and they'll have to like at least something in it! I am thankful for gift baskets!

And today starts the new week and actually is the blog for the day! This week I am going to list presents that are great for everyone that I am thankful for! Today it is a book. This one truly is great for anyone and any age. There are so many things to choose froma and so many different age groups you can reach out to. A great idea for any occasion. Monday, the all time best thing to do when it's snowing is hike! At the beginning of this month me and my finace went hiking and it was wonderful! I love hiking in the cold. I also love hiking in the snow, more than just the cold. I went with my best friend and her family one weekend and it was so beautiful. How the falls were frozen and everything was covered with a white layer. Lovely! I am so thankful for hiking on snowy days!

Sunday was museum. I really like museums. What a wonderful lesson that is right in front of you instead of in a book. The more real the better for me as a learner. Museums are usually friendly to every kind of person also, or you can find one that is age appropriate for you. I am thankful for museums, especially on a snowy day.

Forgive my lateness. It has been a difficult time for me. Saturday the best thing to do when it's snowing is go to the aquarium. I love the aquarium. It's so cool in there! I went there with my finance once, and we had a nice time. We weren't crazy about it, but it also was really nice outside. I think we would have enjoyed it more if it was nasty out and we were nice and cozy inside. Wonderful place to go while it's snowy! I am thankful for it!

Today is board games. Board games are a great way to pass the time and something that everyone can enjoy. And when it's snowing you can watch it fall or look at the snow laying on the ground glisten in the light. I'm thankful for this fun thing to do in the winter :)

What I am going to blog about this next five days is the best things to do when it's snowing! Today is shopping. Whether it's a half out half in or all inside mall or strip, I enjoy shopping when it's snowing. I like being able to enjoy myself and watching the snow fall from inside the stores :) I am thankful for this :)

This is the theme of my wedding :) Winter themed. I love the crystals of the ice and the white of the snow. And my favorite color is purple and my fiances is blue, which are the two main colors and good colors for a winter wedding :) As well as silver, of course :) This elegant theme is my favorite, the one I am picking and the one I am most thankful for! :)

This was one of my top two picks when I was thinking of a theme for my wedding. Spring Garden is such a beautiful concept. With the flowers everywhere and the flowy goen and earthy tones :) This was beaten out but only one other theme beat it :) I am thankful for this beautiful theme! :)

Another great wedding idea is a New Years wedding. This is so romantic and beautiful! :) It's a good holiday becuase it's not one where people really want to be home yet it is more than just another day :) It's a win win to me! :) I am thankful for this sparkly and magical wedding!

So this is technically a theme… :) But I think that a boat/cruise wedding would be lovely! The water is right there and you could get some sweet pictures! I am a fan of just listening to the water. No sand or actually being in it (at least when it comes to the ocean), so this is a wonderful idea to me :) And it comes with its own theme pretty much. Just play off the nautical or make it totally untraditional. I love this idea. I am thankful for boat weddings :)

New week! :) I'm going to start doing weeks of five so I can end on an even number :) This week I am blogging about my favorite and the things I am most thankful about in wedding themes! There are so many good ones and these are my tops! :) Today is 50's themed. There is nothing better than glam retro and I feel the 50's really does that! It would look so fabulous with the red and black and crisp details and take you back with the music and decor :)

Today I am thankful for all of the snow that makes snow forts possible :) There is nothing more awesome than a snow fort! :) When we had a big snow a while back me and my big brother made a tunnel for for our dog to chill in and keep from the wind when he didn't want to be in his dog house. He didn't like it as much as we did :) That is one of my best memories in the snow! :)

One of my favorite things to do in the winter is go sledding :) It's almost like a roller coaster without the rules! :) And more danger of course since you can fly out and hit your head, but that makes it more fun! ;) I enjoy sledding and am thankful for it.

Something I haven't done with snow in a long time that I really need and want to do is make a snowman! :) They are so cute! I have never made one with actually features and such though. I usually just try to find whatever is around and that's diffucult when there is snow all over the ground :) I am thankful for snowmen and snow! :)

Something that I enjoy doing with snow is making water with it. The only thing is it usually gets dirty :) I love it though because the water is so pure tasting :)

Today I am thankul for snow angels! That sounds really dumb :) I love making them though! They are so pretty and you can make them in any clothing! hah! Me and my best friend were vacationing in the winter once and there was a good amount of snow on the ground. We were hanging out in the hot tub and decided that it would be fun to make snow angels in our swimsuits, so we hopped out and made them for a short bit and then headed back into the hot tub. Our skin burned after that, but it was so much fun! :)

Today I am thankful for snow becuase of snowball fights :) I don't have them all of the time, but they are fun! :) It's a fun way to excersie yousrself in the winter and to play with your friends and family! :) I am thankful for snowball fights!

This week I am going to blog about fun things to do in the snow, nothing special though so don't get ecited :) Today is shoveling. No, this is not a joke :) I really enjoy getting outside and shoveling off the driveway and walkway and sidewalk. It find it fun actually and really relaxing. Especially after a bad snowfall when there is no one out and it's peacefully quiet. I am thankful for shoveling, and snow :)

Friday, the thing I was most thankful about in my fiancé, his love for me. It's amazing how much he has loved me from the moment we started dating. He dove head first into me and our relationship and I swear has loved me from the moment he asked me to be his girlfriend. Sometimes I feel as if I don't deserve him because his love for me seems to outweigh mine for him! He is so great at showing me how much he loves me and I seriously could not ask for anything else :) I hope that I show him as well as he shows me! I love you, Sweetie :)

Today, I am thankful that my fiancé is funny! I could not live with a man who is not funny! I love to laugh and smile and I need to have that in my life, and he gives me that :) He is always making jokes or being goofy and making me happy. I love that about him, almost the most :)

Today i am thankful that he is caring. He cares about my feelings and othes. He is gentle, even though he can also be tough. He's a really good combination! You don't want a man who is too caring and does not stand up for himself or even me when things get too out of control. I am thankful he has this quality :)

Yesterday[;)] I was thankful for how my fiance lsitens. Now, he has gotten a little worse as our relationship has progressed but he still listens so well to me! That's something that I have found difficult to find in a man. I am so happy he has this quality :)

Today I am thankful that he is kind. He is so sweet and has always been to my little brothers and my doggy. Nothiing says that a man is kind than if he loves your annoying little brothers and insane dog :) He has a heart for other people too, and I love that about him! I'm so lucky to have such a kind guy! :)

Today I am thankful that he is strong. And I don't mean that in a physical way, I mean mentally. I am not doing well he is there for me emtionally, and a lot of times that is what I need. He is there to keep me in line and well when I just want to fall apart. Or when I do fall apart he is there to hold me and comfort me. He's wonderful :)

This week I am going to blog about all of the things that I am thankful for in my fiance. Today is how he is senstitive. He knows when to be hard and when to be senstitive. If I need him to be ther for my feelings he is. He's always to sweet and gemerous to me, but still puts me in my place when I need it. He's wonderful! :)

So my favorite, as of yesterday :) Is an Essanse gown. These are the things I love about this dress. The top of it is so lovely and detailed. The fabric that pokes up is cute and the flowers on the top are so beutiful! Gorgeous top :) Then I like the break at the belt. That ties the two together really nicely! And two skirts, how beautiful! The top is really pretty with all the lace and it's shear but not so much that it hides the underskirt. And this is the first time I have ever seen a dress like this, with two skirts. I love the layering, it's so unique and pretty! I am thankful for wedding gowns in general because there are so many pretty ones to choose from and so many different styles! :)

Another lovely Provonios gown! :) I really do love these haha! The part that is the best on this gown in the detailing on the top of the dress and on the sleeves. I think that those make this dress! The lace underlay is also completely gorgeous! And I like how flowy it is! Such a detailed dress :) I really am so thankful that I can look at these dreses and can have the possibility of getting them. And just that they exsist :)

I don't remember where this dress came from, but this one is slightly different than what I have been putting up here. I love the all lace look to this one. I think lace is an elegant touch :) The sleeves are also great because they hold up the dress with no fuss! :) And the waist line is extreamly adorbale! I also love how it is form fitting but not to the point where it's gross. I am very thankful for this dress :)

This one is Provonias also. I love the mesh tank look on the top for the sleeves. such a cute idea! :) I also love how it hugs just below the hips so that it still gives you th curves but it doesn't strangle you. The detailing on the skirt is also extreamly beautiful! :) It's such a gorgeous dress and I am thankful that I have the opportunity to be able to consider this dress!

So the mermaid style is pretty pretty ;) I like the flowy tulle on this one :) I also think that the belt is cute but I am a fan of an aaallll whte dress so that'd have to go! :) I like how the flowers on the dress cascade down the one side. It's so pretty and elegant! :) Lovely dress and I am thankful I have the privilege of looking at it!

Now for actual today my favorite gown is this one, pronovias. This has to be one of my favorite brands; I have a lot saved from their site. These dresses are amazing because they look like they were hand stitched to me. They are so detail oriented and so amazingly beautiful. I love them! This one in particular is so beautiful because of the sleeves, for one. I love the long lace sleeve look. The lace on it is stunning and there is lots of tulle which I am in love with right now! ;) And again it will stay up because of the sleeves which I like! I am thankful for this gown :)

This week I am blogging about my favorite wedding dresses. I just recently got engaged so I am putting the wedding stuff in high gear now! This one is a Demetrios and is absolutely to die for! I am not much for belts on dresses like this kind of girl but this belt makes this dress look beautiful! I also love all of the detail, nothing should be overlooked! :) I also love the fact that it has straps because that makes it comfortable to wear. It’s a lovely dress! I am thankful for it!

I have been on vacation with no internet, so excuse my absence :) On Thurs I was thankful for trees that are decorated with family ornaments. They are my favorite kind of tree. I think that there is no other tree that is more beautiful than one that is filled with love from the ones that care about you the most. I am thankful for them :)

Today my favorite tree is a white one with different bright colored ornaments. Just a few different colors so it doesn't look like a rainbow and tacky :) But I think that these trees look so pretty! Me and my best friend from kindergarten used to talk before we went off to college how we'd be roomates and have one of these trees :) I am thankful for them!

Happy 2013 :) It will now take me 3 months to remember to write 2013 lol Today I am thankful for the gorgeous trees that are white and have all of the same color ornaments. Even with a green tree. It's pretty when a tree is really uniform :)
