Day 112

One of the great things about summer is that all of my friends get together. I like getting together with all of my friends that I have so much in common with. There aren't too many, but they all mean so much to me! I feel like we have friendships like ths show Friends. We may not always like eachother ad get along but we'll always be there for eachother! I am very thankful for my friends :)

Day 111

Summer is officially here with my blog ;) There are many fun things that I partake in in the few and shrinking summer months that we have. The thing that I love the most is doing nothing, bel far niente, as it is said in Italian :) I am someone who loves to be doing things constantly so it is difficult for me to do nothing, yet I really enjoy it when I finally get myself to do it. So take some time, you can find 5 mins, and just do absolutly nothing. It is a great feeling and your body will love you also!

Day 110

Out of all of the hairstyles that I came upon this one was my favorite by far. It almost looks Kate Middleton to me, I think she has extreamly beautiful hair and clothes. So I love this hairstyle and I plan on trying it. Even though it will more than likely fail for me hah! I am so thankful to be a girl and to have so many different hair options for myself! This is called a stitched-up French twist. For a look that combines classic elegance with an edge, look no further than this style, which features two French twists that meet in the middle. Tease your crown to get volume on top before dividing hair into two sections. Twist the right section back and up, pinning on the left side of the twist. Then do the same with the left section, but pin on the right. As always you can read more at http://www.glamour.com/beauty/2009/06/14-pretty-ways-to-wear-your-hair-this-summer#ixzz1yQjfzszQ

Day 109

So I have to double up cause I had a internet free day yesterday :) This hairstyle is extreamly cute! It looks fairly easy and carefree also so this is something that I ipersonally am a fan of :) This cleb is Charlize Theron. To do this quick updo for short hair. Grab a handful of bobby pins and take little sections of hair and twist them back leaving the ends sticking out so you get a messy chignon effect. Spritz your bangs with a little volumizer at the roots and blow-dry them so they lay sideswept across your forehead. Finish with a light, fine mist of hairspray to keep everything in place. Day 108

This hairstyle is really cute :) It is something that I would have a difficult time trying because I like my usual hairstyles that I know will always look cute and this is so not one :) But it looks like something I would like to try! This is a coil it up and over style! For this pretty milk-maid look, simply roll hair from the bottom up, tucking in from the top section and pinning as necessary. If you don’t have a ton of length, pin hair around a foam hair roller (you can find them at beauty supply stores) for a similar effect. Day 107

I like this hairstyle for more dressed up occasions. I think it is so adorable and it can be achiveved with short or long hair. This is Felicity Huffman. To get this look flip hair over and spritz with hairspray all over. This will give your hair a little extra grit and keep your chignon from wilting after an hour. Rake hair up and back with your hands, pushing it forward at the roots to encourage lift, and secure ends in a twist at the nape of your neck. Keep sticking in bobby pins and pulling out pieces to loosen the style. Then, mist the twist with a little shine spray. This shouldn't look perfect but fast/sexy/chic. Day 106

I just did my hair in braids last night to give it pretty waves today. I love the look this gives you hair while you are doing your everyday thing and I also love how it looks when it comes down. Braids are fantastic for the hair! :) So if you want a beefy braid then follow these extreamly simple for a summer chic look. Weave three sections of hair together. Tease hair to give it more grip and texture before braiding. If your hair is fine, fatten it up with a few strategically placed extension and if you would like you can read more at http://www.glamour.com/beauty/2009/06/14-pretty-ways-to-wear-your-hair-this-summer#ixzz1yQk35sJ6

Day 105

One of the hair styles that I personally always turn to is the pony tail and the low pony tail. It is so low maintenance and a good hairstyle for all seasons. It helps cool the neck but is also still close to your body so it helps keep you warm still. This is so cute and simple! :) This is Ashley Judd and her style is as simple as: Unwashed straight hair is the perfect foundation for this style. Run a little mousse through hair to give it some extra hold and volume. Make a deep side part and tease the front section pulling it loosely back, over your ear instead of tucked behind it. Do the same with the other side. Use a little styling cream on your ends and pull loose hair forward over your shoulder. And you're done! :) If you would like to read more visit, Celebrity Hairstyle Gallery - Hair Style Tips - Redbook

Day 106

With the hot weather here sometimes I have a difficult time doing my hair. I don't feel like it or it just dies when I go outside. So I wanted to throw together some hair ideas to keep me motivated throughout summer to actually try and make my hair look good! This one here is Cynthia Nixon to style your hair this way: Blow-dry hair with a large vent brush, pulling hair up and back as you go along. Don't worry about hair getting too big — fine hair will fall as you style it, so the more volume at the root the better. Make a deep side part so most of the volume is to one side of the part. Roll one-inch sections of hair halfway with small Velcro rollers and spray with hairspray so you get a slight bounce to just your ends. And if you like what you see you can read more at Celebrity Hairstyle Gallery - Hair Style Tips - Redbook.

Day 105

I recently went on a short camping trip and my favorite part of it had to be the fire :) There are so many great things outdoors, but there is nothing more amazing than a fire. It is my favorite scent. I have had candles and not watched clothes just so I can smell them later :) I am so thankful for the fire smell! :)

Tuesday, June 19, 2012

Day 104

Another great scent is an evergreen green :) I actually am allergic to them, so if I brush up to one my eyes get all itchy and watery. But I can sniff them all I want! I usually only use the candles and such for Christmas time because we always have a live tree and it reminds me of Christmas, but I also will utilize the scent anytime because it smells so darn good :)

Monday, June 18, 2012

Day 103

Baby smell is one of the best! I wish they would make candles with the baby smell; I would certainly buy those :) I don't have any babies and do not plan on any anytime soon, so I do not get to sniff them very often. So it is always a treat when I do :)

Sunday, June 17, 2012

Day 102

I love my sense of smell so all of these smells are my favorite’s haha! One of the most amazing smells is boy :) Not the just finished football practice in the 100 degree weather smell, but the body spray smell. Oooo, for me a guy can be very unattractive or annoying and if they smell good they start looking more appealing. I have no clue what it is but I am extremely thankful for the boy smell :)

Saturday, June 16, 2012

Day 101

One of the most awesome smells is the book smell. I am defiantly known to take a book and open it up at a random spot and shove my nose into the center and take a big whiff! The best to sniff are the ones with plastic pages :) I may sound insane but I dare anyone to go smell a good book. Not an old one (those can smell good too though), but a fairly knew one. Maybe even go to the store. I sniff books way out in the open :) Haha!

Friday, June 15, 2012

Day 100

I feel like I have reached another milestone with day 100 :) So the 6th best smell to me is chocolate chip cookies :) The freshly baked ones, that are still warm and gooey and the chocolate chips melt in your mouth, mmmmmm! I'm making myself want some haha! But I love the smell of these, they are one of my favorite foods and I actually got a candle that smelled like them from my boyfriend for Christmas this past year. What a good gift!

Thursday, June 14, 2012

Day 99

One of my favorite senses is smell. I love the others (taste is my all-time favorite!) a lot also. So, there are 7 scents that are the best to me! Today my favorite is rain. I LOVE the smell of rain :) It is so great to go outside during and after a nice rain and just go smell lol I am very thankful for rain :)

Wednesday, June 13, 2012

Day 98

http://www.specialolympics.org/ I have already made it obvious that I like kids, but I love kids that have special needs! Not that the Special Olympics is just for kids, but that is who I would work with :) So, this is a fantastic way to help the community and from my perspective it is the BEST way! Nothing sounds more fun to me than spending my time with these kids and helping them to achieve their goals! They are so interesting and this is a fun thing to do. I am thankful we have these organizations to help give back to the community :)

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

Day 97

Another lovely thing you can do in any season is yard work. Whether it's raking leaves, planting flowers, trimming bushes, or shoveling snow your neighbor will be more than happy with you :) And what would make it even better is if you did it for free! I know, who has time to do yard work for free? But in the end, it will really help out your neighbors and they may possibly even pay you if you say you'll do it for free. So get out there and start helping! They're only a doorbell ring away ;)

Monday, June 11, 2012

Day 96

http://www.dosomething.org/actnow/actionguide/action-tips-lead-games-homeless-children I love kids :) As you can tell I love lots of things haha! But I really do enjoy the company of children, they remind me to be a kid and dream big. So here's a site that gives you a thing to do with homeless kids. There are no other kids that really need love and care then these kids. This is a fun way to help the community! :) I am thankful that we have this option.

Day 95

This sad cute puppy is so adorable! And I don't know about you, but I would do just about anything to take care of it and make it feel loved. I have loved animals since I was a little kid, there is only one problem with my animal love as I have stated before, I kill them. So I have some to this realization and only have one pet so that I can focus on that and after she is gone, I will hold off for a while. BUT that does not mean that I can use the local animal shelter to get close to cute little doggies and kitties and whatever else they may have, if anything. I am very thankful for the shelter for it is a place that I can go to hang out with cute little critters, yet they don't have to be subjected to belonging to me ;) Whether you volunteer or adopted a pet the animal shelter is a great place to help better the community :)

Saturday, June 9, 2012

Day 94

http://www.redcross.org/ Everyone knows the Red Cross! There are many different things that you can do for the Red Cross also. Giving blood is one of the main things they are known for. I gave plasma once in my life, it is an experience I would never want to go through again, yet it was nice to know that I was doing my best to help someone. Of course you have to go two times for it to actually be beneficial so I did not help at all, but I tried! :) Some other things to do for the red crass are, donating money, giving gifts, fundraising, volunteering and even becoming an employee. Giving back never had so many options :) It is great that we have so many options.

Friday, June 8, 2012

Day 93

I do not know these two people, but they look so sweet! I love people who are elderly; I find them to be extremely cute and wise. You can always learn something from someone who is older than you. I am lucky enough to have 3 grandmas and 3 grandpas. I love them all so much! They have all taught me valuable things, and one of my best friends is my Gran. What does this have to do with giving back? Hospitals and nursing homes! There are so many people there who do not get enough attention, my grandpa being one :(, and they are people just like anyone else and love to have someone there who cares. I used to go on nursing home trips with my youth group and those people were so happy to have people to talk to, I think it helped even more that they did not know us yet we still wanted to spend our time with them. Everyone needs love, and we should be thankful to have such an easy opportunity to show it :)

Thursday, June 7, 2012

Day 92

One of the best ways to be thankful is to help others. For me helping others is a therapy, it makes you feel good about yourself! So I wanted to list some ways to help other people that may not be conventional and what you hear all of the time. The thing I find the most difficult in helping other poeple is finding a place close and someting that I am interested in. I do not want to help if my heart is not going to be in it, because then I won't do things like I would if I throughly enjoyed it. Today I want to focus on knitting sweaters. I do not knit, at all! But I would like to pick it up and this is something you can do at your house. If you have 5 minutes you can just knit a little bit and be that much closer to helping someone out! For more information here is a website to check out. http://www.bygpub.com/books/tg2rw/sweater.htm

Day 91

DYI projects are always fun things to do. This bracelet is so cute, and I love charm bracelets. The thing I love about doing things yourself is that you get to make things exactly how you want them. There are so many cute charms out there to make one of these bracelets really cute and it is even fun to customize the chain the charms are on. This is also a sweet way to show someone you love them. Girlfriend, friend, Mom, Grandma, whoever :)

Tuesday, June 5, 2012

Day 90

Something that I personally love to do is take pictures. I am crazy about taking pictures, it is my creative outlet. I have not gotten much attention for it, but I am happy because I want it to always be something I enjoy and not something that I have to do. Taking pictures is something that anyone with a handy camera can do. You don't need a special camera to take gorgeous pictures, you just have to have the eye. Also, taking photo shoots outside or inside with your friends is a lot of fun. You don't even have to have a creative eye for that, just some fun!

Monday, June 4, 2012

Day 89

Something fun that I have always tried to do with my friends is make up a dance to my favorite song. I never have actually finished a whole song before and I never remember the dances. But it is always so much fun! :) One of my favorite dances to try and learn is Thriller by Michael Jackson. It has to be one of the best! There have always been a wide variety, it is also always fun when you have costumes also. Me and my friends once had a "runway" show and videoed it. It was the best thing ever!

Sunday, June 3, 2012

Day 88

Something fun to do for the summer is get with friends and make splatter painted shirts! You get a group of friends together and, obviously, paint. You can either set them up somewhere or have the person wear their shirt and splatter paint away! It's a fun thing to do and messy thing to do, which is always enjoyable :)

Saturday, June 2, 2012

Day 87

Scrapbooking is a great way to pass the time. It is also an awesome way to save memories forever. I enjoy scrapbooking a whole lot! It's something I have done since I was quite young; my style has changed over the years so my pages have evolved. The only disadvantage to scrapbooking is that it is expensive if you make it a hobby. As long as you have photos and some money you'll be good to start being creative!

Friday, June 1, 2012

Day 86

Something I have always wanted to learn to do is origami. I have a feeling that once I learn how to make it I will be thankful on long summer afternoons :) So this summer I want to learn how to make origami. There are so many cute and unique things to make that don't cost a lot of money and can be very lengthy. Something fun for the summer to do list! :)
